Three days to go until I leave on the first leg of this incredible journey. Snow , ice and freezing temps await me in the UK but it looks like Shetland is warmer than London or Aberdeen.
Planning for the first part mostly completed, and NZ plans going ahead. I have extended NZ by 4 days to get more in

Hey, big adventurer! I just got back from two weeks in France, and I tried something new to me. It's called www.couchsurging.org, and it was incredible. I met and stayed with a lot of people who live in the towns I visited. Even if someone couldn't host, they were many times open to meeting up for coffee/drink and showing me around. I'm jealous of this excursion, but I look very much forward to seeing how it develops! Enjoy it!
